We as Sabaeans celebrate Ancient One’s Day, which is commonly known as Halloween in the western world. However, as Sabaeans we make it a day of positiveness and goodness. Our Homes are gaily decorated with pictures of the Ancient Ones. We as Sabaeans read from the book of light asking the Nadjar-u to protect us from evil. We then chant the ninety and nine plus one names of our ancestors. Passages of enlightenment from the Book of light are also read. On this day children are dressed in beautiful colourful costumes depicting Nadjar-u including costumes depicting great men and women of Afaf-Ray-Kaa, Olmec, Native American or your nations country’s costumes.
